These killing fields are about 15km outside The citycentre of Phnom Penh. This area used to be a Chinese cemetary before 1975. From the start of the regime of Pol Pot - the leader of the Kmer rouge - the area was used for killing innocent Cambodian civilians and ‘burry’ them in of of the more then 100 massgraves in Cheoung Ek with in total about 20.000 executions.
At the end of the day we had dinner in the local restaurant Romdeng, famous for its typically Cambodian dishes like fish Amok.
